University Internationalization Council
In order to implement the programs approved by the International Affairs Policy Council of the University, which is currently the highest policy-making structure, and also to review the methods of implementing the Memoranda of Understanding and promoting the university’s scientific diplomacy, the University Internationalization Council of the University of Kurdistan is formed.

Fereidoun H. Panahi received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. From 2016 to 2018, he was awarded the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (DC2 and Postdoctoral (PD)). From April 2017 to Sept. 2017, he was a Visiting Assistant Project Scientist (Postdoctoral) with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA). From Sept. 2016 to March 2019, he was also a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher with Keio University. He was a recipient of the Ph.D. Scholarship from Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (Monbukagakusho or MEXT), the Master Scholarship from JGC-S Scholarship Foundation (Nikki Saneyoshi/Daisanshu) in Japan, and the IEEE VTS Japan Young Researcher’s Encouragement Award, in 2015 from the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society/Japan Chapter.
Ghasemi Foad

Foad was born in 1987 in Dehgolan and completed his pre-university education in Sanandaj, Iran. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Kurdistan in 2010 and his master's (2012) and Ph.D. (2017) degrees from the University of Tehran in the fields of nano-physics and nano-electronics. He also spent a short-period sabbatical program (6 months) in Spain. Foad is currently a faculty member of the Department of Physics and the director of the Nanoscale Physics Device Lab (NPDL) at the University of Kurdistan.

• Jamil Jafari holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Arabic Language and Literature department at the University of Kurdistan. His research interests include: teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers - grammar - research in manuscripts.
• International Activities: Holding the International Conference on the Holy Quran and Arabic Language and Literature in 1399 with the cooperation of four universities from Malaysia and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Mollazadeh Kaveh

Dr. Kaveh Mollazade is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran. He has authored more than 40 international refereed journal articles. His research interests include image processing and machine vision, data mining and artificial intelligence, and mechatronics in Biosystems Engineering.
Gholami Khalil

Khalil Gholami graduated from the University of Helsinki with a Ph.D. in 2009 and he is now an Associate professor of Educational Sciences with a specialization in curriculum development at the University of Kurdistan. He has also a docent position at the University of Helsinki since 2016 entitling him to teach, research and supervise Ph.D. students. Dr. Gholami’s main research interests are curriculum development in basic and higher education, teaching and teacher education, and electronic learning, and in line with these fields, he is currently teaching courses such as strategic planning in higher education, curriculum design and development, and teaching approaches and learning theories.

Dr. Loghman Ghahramany was born in 1970 in the city of Boukan, West Azarbaijan province, Iran. He received his BSc degree in forestry in 1993, MSc in forestry in 1995, both from the University of Tehran, Iran, and his Ph.D. degree in forest biometry in 2005 from the Moscow State Forest University, Russia.
Dr. Loghman Ghahramany is currently an associate professor of forest biometry at the University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran. He has taught forest measurements, statistics and probability, forest biometry, and advanced statistical methods courses at the Department of Forestry, University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran since 1995.
Mohammadi Saleh

Saleh Mohammadi is currently a member of the faculty of Art & Architecture at the University of Kurdistan. He is an assistant professor in sustainable architecture and specialized in the design and development of smart and sustainable energy systems. Between 2016-2019, he was working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Delft University of Technology, and during this period, he worked on several successful European projects (H2020) in the field of design, development, and implementation of sustainable and smart energy systems. He has also worked as a project manager and senior consultant of smart energy systems at the Witteveen + Bos consulting engineers (2015-2019) at The Hague, the Netherlands. In this role, he has designed, developed, and managed multiple projects such as Floriade Expo 2022, Netherlands Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020, Busan Smart City Project (South Korea), and Helsinki Energy System in Finland. He received his Ph.D. from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2016 in ”Smart Energy Systems”.
