Targets:

Attracting participation and decentralization from the international scientific executive activities of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Orientation of the center’s responsibilities towards policy-making, monitoring, support, and evaluation of international scientific activities of universities and research and technology centers.

Utilizing the capacities of universities and research and technology centers in the development of international scientific cooperation.

Contribute to internationalization / becoming as an essential principle in the scientific interactions of universities and research and technology centers.

Identify operational, policy-making, executive stages and determine the priorities of international scientific cooperation and determine the priorities of cooperation based on goals, needs and facilities.

Directing international scientific collaborations towards content-oriented collaborations.

Short-Term Plans

Activate and update the website and publish the required information and links.

Correspondence with the country's universities and research centers to collect and prepare a database of current academic activities and collaborations with the KRG

Creating the necessary arrangements for holding a specialized bilateral scientific workshop for selected researchers from Iranian universities and the KRG

Planning to expand the holding of workshops, seminars and conferences in the fields required by the parties in the universities of Iran and the KRG

Holding meetings of the National Working Group for Coordination and Pursuit of International Scientific Cooperation with the Iraqi Kurdistan Region with the aim of:

Review of successful programs and challenges in the development of scientific relations with the KRG

Introducing areas for joint cooperation with the KRG

Establishment of an information network for the representatives of the members of the working group as a reference point for scientific cooperation with the KRG

Establishment of a database of cooperation between Iraqi and Iranian Kurdistan universities with the aim of:

Introducing the list of existing memorandums of cooperation with the KRG and the results obtained with the aim of activating the memorandums as much as possible

Introducing major projects implemented by the country's executive apparatus in the KRG

Introducing the scientific characteristics and fields of interest of Iranian professors interested in cooperating with the KRG Introduced by the representatives of the member universities of the working group
