Title:

Green hydrogen; the key for the transition towards sustainable energy development

Abstract:

Green hydrogen is regarded as the fuel of the future which plays an important role in energy transition for our fight against climate change and global warming. Hydrogen is important due to its high energy density on a mass basis, its important role in increasing the reliability of renewable electricity grids of the future, and its various applications including heating applications, petrochemical uses, and electricity production. In this talk, the importance of hydrogen as the fuel of the future is outlined and its vital role in the transmission of energy infrastructure is explained highlighting promising opportunities and technical barriers.
